Experience the Adventure of riding the world’s largest rotating tramcars at the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Rising over two and one half miles to a scenic wonderland, the Tram’s two 80-passenger cars revolve slowly from within, providing a spectacular 360-degree view of the desert and surrounding area. Guests begin their adventure at the Tram’s Valley Station, at an elevation of 2,643 feet and travel through five unique life zones (comparable to a motor trip from the hot Sonoran Desert to the Alpine Wilderness), as they ascend to the Tram’s Mountain Station.

The Mountain Station is located at an elevation of 8,516 feet and sits within the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto National Monument Area. The Mountain Station features spectacular viewpoints, the Peak’s upscale restaurant, Pines casual cafe, Lookout Lounge, gift shop, natural history museum and a theatre showing “Building on a Dream” the history and construction of the Tramway. Just outside the Mountain Station are some 54 miles of hiking trails, primitive campgrounds, a ranger station and the Winter Adventure Center with cross-country ski and snowshoe tube equipment rentals (snow conditions permitting).

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is located just minutes from downtown Palm Springs and just a two-hour drive from Los Angeles or San Diego.

Cars depart at least every half hour with the first car up Monday-Friday at 10am; first car up weekends and holiday periods at 8am.

Enjoy the 10-minute, 2.5-mile ride aboard the World's Largest Rotating Tramcars. The tramcar floor revolves slowly to provide a spectacular 360-degree view of the desert and surrounding area. Begin your ride at the Valley Station (elevation 2,643 feet) and ends in a pristine wilderness at the Mountain Station (elevation 8,516 feet).

Children under 2 years old are free but require a boarding pass which can only be obtained on the day of your visit from the Tram’s ticket booth. Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult of 21 years or older.

Parking not included. A parking fee of $15 will be charged upon arrival. Parking availability and prices are subject to change.

Vouchers/E-Tickets must be purchased at least 24 hours prior to visit. Same day sales will not be accepted.

This voucher is non-refundable. Photo identification is required to redeem. This voucher has no cash value and cannot be redeemed outside the valid date shown.

The Tramway is not responsible for date changes and for voucher/ticket refunds.

Instructions for fulfillment Tram Admission

Please present this voucher/e-ticket and valid photo ID at Ticket Counter upon arrival to be timed for the next available Tramcar. The ticket is valid only for the date selected.
